Episode 512: Save Yourself

Sometimes you've got be bad in order to be good. Or so that's the path Alcide took. Congrats to the new pack master! Under his leadership all wolves will live a V free existence and above all the pack comes first. This is definitely not the Alcide we knew at the beginning of the season who didn't want anything to do with a pack..

Russell's actually dead now. Who knew it would be so easy!

Looks like half of our survey list didn't make it with both Salome and Russell meeting melty explosive ends. The Authority were dropping like flies. Speaking of which Chancellor Rosalyn should win the award for best vampire death in the series!

Poor Luna, will she recover from her second go at skin walking?

Tara's lip lock with Pam definitely came more quickly than expected, but it looks like Pam feels the same way. That should be an interesting relationship going forward.

Jason got knocked in the head a little too hard by faerie magic. He's making less sense than usual and while on the topic of Faerie shenanigans...what's Andy going to do with his quadruplet girls?

Well...Bill's going to be the big bad next season along with Warlow and the way is clear for Eric and Sookie to continue their relationship since Bill took himself out of the running...Arise Billith!

Extended Look at the Finale!

WHICH CHARACTER IS MOST LIKELY TO DIE BY THE END OF THIS SEASON?

Looks like Salome has taken the lead with 48% of the vote.

We only have one more episode and 3 days to go before we find out if we're right!

True Blood Episode Preview: Save Yourself

The finale is almost here!

Episode 511 Sunset

Yay! Eric finally made it out of the Authority and managed to save Nora. Definitely didn't expect that!

Does any even want to see Bill get saved at this point? We're not so sure he deserves to be.

What do you mean that all of those fairies can't stop Russell? That must have been the stupidest plan ever! The fairies should have been able to easily defeat him when combining their powers. Instead the elder decides to face him alone and ends dead pretty quickly.

It looks like we didn't have to wait until next season for Andy to find out about his bundle of fairy joy. Will he break the light pact and bring about a war?

Looks like Lilith has chosen all of them to lead the vampires to the new age, so Bill's not so special after all but he didn't accept that easily. Maybe they'll just kill each other off and the remaining vampires will over dose on Lilith's blood? We can only hope.

So Tara and Pam? It seems that there might be something there and we'll probably see that develop next season.

Sam and Luna found Emma, but didn't really think through the whole rescue. It was surprising to find out the Russell and Steve left Emma in the Authority to look for fairies and poor Sam doesn't know how far gone Bill is and hopefully he'll be rescued.

There's a lot that needs to happen in this last episode, which means it'll probably be action packed!

True Blood Episode Preview: Sunset

True Blood Episode 510: Gone, Gone, Gone

It doesn't make sense that the vampire community seems to be in a panic. It's not like they've never fed on humans before without killing and there seems to be plenty of willing humans out there. They should just find one a keep it on the DL. They've only be doing that for centuries!

It was sad to see the techie vampire go. We really wanted to see her become a new sidekick for Eric.

Eric seems to have decided to play the game. How long will he have to pretend before he can kill everyone? He can probably get Jessica on his side. It seems like there's still a bond between Eric, Bill and clearly Jessica when the topic of Fairy blood came up... aka Sookie. Eric will have to make his move fast. Not to mention Russel isn't the only one after her blood.

Finally, Russel stopped this charade not that it wasn't obvious, but did Salome really think she could raise a 3,000 year old vampire and control him? Clearly he is a very hard vampire to kill. Still don't see why Bill and Eric didn't do it when they had the chance! Not that I actually care but which side will Steve pick? Guess it depends if Russel stops to take him along for the ride... Just the two of them and the “puppy”. Could be the break Sam and Luna need to get Emma back.

The whole scene with Hoyt, Jessica, and Jason was very sad, but at least he's trying to get his life back on track. They both do really care about him.

Tara really is beginning to kick ass as a vampire and we think Pam was impressed. Goodbye Elijah!
We think Pam's commitment to her as her maker made all the difference. It will be interesting to see the dynamic once Eric is back in the picture.

Seriously, Sookie and Jason took the scroll to a university? Ummm, one look at that said “fairy” all over it! And when did Jason become the “smart” one? Sookie just seems so lost this season and it seems like Warlow is a bit of a setup for next season or at least a quick plot for this one.

Looks like Andy has an unexpected bundle of joy coming his way... wonder how Holly's going to take that bit of news.

Only two episodes left and Bill seems as crazy as ever! Can he be saved? Will the chase for Russel bring Eric and Bill back into Sookie's circle? Will Sookie bring Bill back from his craziness once and for all?

Poll Results: Will Bill be saved?

48% believe that Eric will save him and it seems that Eric might be his only hope.  But will Eric want to after Bill's betrayal?

Episode 509: Everybody Wants to Rule the World

It's official, Bill has lost his mind. The least he could have done was let Eric go. I think he owed Eric that much, but I guess that just shows how far gone he really is. Can he be saved by the end of the season? It's looking less and less likely. Maybe Sookie and Eric will have to team up to put a stop to the Authority and Bill.

Terry is finally safe and Arlene got another eyeful of the supernatural world. I'm thinking the next time some one tells her they've seen some weird creature, she'll believe them. I'm happy the situation worked out for them, but will Patrick's wife seek revenge?

I definitely didn't expect Bud Dearborn to be involved with the hate group and end up dead this episode. At least the hate group storyline has been put to rest and it was pretty awesome seeing Luna kick the Dragon's ass. Will Jessica give Hoyt some blood to heal him?

What was Martha thinking about keeping Emma around the pack? She knew exactly what was going on and the least she could have done was stay away until Luna got Emma. Martha seemed smarter than this, so I was surprised as this turn of events. Russell is going to have a lot to deal with once Luna finds out what happened. She won't rest until he's dead and probably Steve Newland for that matter.

Sookie really didn't find out anything new on her parents death and Bud turned out to be a dead end (literally). Will we get to meet Warlow in the season finale? I still don't trust the fairies. How do they know the vampires are behind the bombings?

There's a new sheriff of area 5? What?! That vampire isn't nearly as awesome as Eric and I hope Pam gets the opportunity to stake him. After all, he did sit in Eric's chair.

My favorite line of the night was Eric telling the techie vampire to put her baby fangs away. I have a feeling he's going to keep her around when he gets out of this.

These last three episodes are going to be exciting!

Episode 508: Somebody That I Used to Know

Well it's starting to look like it's down to Eric to save the day maybe bringing in Pam and Tara as backup. But it's funny that out of everyone that Eric has become the voice of reason and the moral compass of the vampire society. It seems like Bill has completely lost his mind and is abandoning everything he believed in for over 100 years because he hallucinated Lilith? Really? He must still be high.

Looks like from the preview, that the Authority storyline is finally being pulled into a couple of the other ones. Sookie and Bill are reuniting and Russel has come to take over the pack. Alcide isn't out of the race yet, we're thinking he's bound to be pack master by the end of the season with his new woman by his side.

The two Sams....that was weird. So glad they didn't kiss, but I have to say that it was fun seeing Sam Trammel with a feminine mystique. Loved the walk.

Yay, we finally got to see Jesus normal. It looks like Lafayette did what he had to in order release Jesus's spirit from agony. Maybe now we'll see their relationship develop in a my boyfriend's a ghost kind of way. But a medium's job is never done as he's allowed Terry and Patrick to make contact with the woman from Iraq. Who will die? The obvious choice would be Patrick since he's new.

It was nice to see Jason being the sensible big brother and taking care of Sookie for a change and rallying her to find out the truth of their parent's death. As usual the fairies are full of half truths and are getting Sookie into more trouble. Now that Sookie made contact with Warlow, he can now sense her. Will Sookie and the fairies be able to stop this vampire? Maybe this crisis will snap Bill out his Lilith stupor.

Oh and by the way, my angry face and happy face are the same.

True Blood Episode 507: In the Beginning

Looks like our suspicions about Salome were correct. Can't believe we have crazy Russel back so soon. Guess if you're going to be a tripping vampire what better place to be then Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Favorite moment must have been seeing Eric give Bill a piggy back ride!

But looks like the fun and games won't last long for Eric who has somehow become the only vampire with loyalty and a conscience.

Most of the rest of the episode seemed to just feed off of and perpetuate hate. Is Hoyt really that lost? Guess so. Pretty ridiculous. Looks like it's not working out too well for Jason either. He should know that not all people or vampires are the same. Jessica has always really held up her end of the friendship, but I think he pushed her too far this time.

Pam almost had a maternal moment... and then it was gone. Good thing she's got some time to warm up to the idea.

What is it about Lafayette that says someone please tie me up and torture me? But come on the mouth sewn shut was a new level even for him.

I can understand Sookie's desire to be “normal” whatever that would actually end up being for her who knows. But it's never that easy to stop being part of this other world, it won't just go way. All the “Sups” will still be there but she wouldn't have the power to protect herself or anyone else.

Debbie and Sookie who? Looks like Alcide has a new chew toy.

Poll Results

Thank you everyone for participating in our poll.  48% of you thought that "Undeath" became Tara Thornton and we have to agree with you.  Don't forget to vote on this week's poll.

Episode 506: Hopeless

Looks like Sam and Luna are both going to pull through. We thought Luna was a goner for sure.

Russell turned out to be a lot easier to catch then we thought, but he ended with the upper hand at the end. Poor Guardian...betrayed by Salome. At least she shed some tears as she stood by and watched him get staked. Quick question, why couldn't the other many ancient vampires have stopped Russell? We're pretty sure Russell wouldn't have been a match for all of them.

Arlene sure can pick 'em. First a serial killer, then a guy cursed to die a fiery death from a supernatural creature.

Lafayette had another endearing heart to heart with his mother and has been set off on the hunt to piece together, “literally”, what's happening with Jesus. We hope that LaLa can figure it out because we'd love to see Jesus back in the show.

Please can we just forget about Hoyt until he get's his sh** together! He's so annoying now.

Don't you hate waking up from a dream right when you're going to find something out? Maybe someone is trying to communicate with Jason. Hopefully, what he doesn't know won't end up putting his life in danger. What do you guys think of the Fairies' story that Sookie's and Jason's parents were killed by a Vampire? We still think the fairies were involved some how, but Sookie is going to have to control her temper when she's dealing with them. It looks like the fairy folk don't take kindly to her using her abilities on their kind.

Also, why are the fairies so afraid of Vampires? They have so much power and can clearly defend themselves. It seems like the Vampires should be worried not the fairies.

Eric sure played dirty with his glamor tonight. Looks like he's still carrying a torch for Sookie after all, but we wouldn't mind seeing Alcide and Sookie have a go at a relationship. But did we see a spark between Alcide and his second??

Alcide is going to be a kick-ass pack master. We can not wait for the show down!

Episode 505: Let's Boot and Rally

Ummm,...so from the coming attractions last week, it seemed like more was going to happen this episode than it did.

I guess there were some WTF moments...like Jason waking up in He-Man footy pajamas and Jesus' head showing up on Lafayette's and his mother's tables. The disembodied creepy dead head with its mouth sewn shut was really unexpected. We knew Jesus would be back but we were expecting a bit more of him....

Looks like we have some new redneck “Supe” haters. It doesn't look like Luna will be making it out of this one... so will Sam be taking a new puppy home? Or will the pack claim Emma?

What was up with Bill and Eric just chatting it up with Russell? Step one should have been to call the Authority and say they had Russell, step two they should have incapacitated him not reminisced.

Sookie was in rare form tonight! Quite entertaining actually. Been a while since we've had that fun Sookie we all love.

We thought Nora was faking her allegiance to Lilith to save Eric, but it's starting to look like she really is a follower of Lilith and a sanguinista but what about Salome? She is clearly plotting but for who and what? The Guardian seems to love his long speeches about mainstreaming but really, lets get on with it already!

It looks like Tara and Jessica are going to have a very short BFF relationship. It didn't even last one evening and all because of Hoyt. When did Hoyt join an 80's punk rock band? That look just doesn't work for him. He seriously needs to put down his momma’s eyeliner.

Jason seems to have found his purpose for this season, which is to solve the covered up crimes committed by “Supes”.

So we found out what kind of demon has been following Terry and his unit. Looks like the Ifrit is coming for him next and that it could tear apart his relationship with Arlene.

Let's hope that next week's episode is a bit more eventful.

Episode 504: We'll Meet Again

Best moment of the season so far, Eric and Pam. Not only did we get to Pam's soft underbelly with her complete devotion to her maker, but Eric also showed how much he cared about his progeny by letting her go. Broke our hearts!

Pam seems to have finally accepted her responsibility as maker. Although I question the wisdom of the first lesson she gave Tara. We're not sure if blood thirsty, top of the food chain lessons will create a stable Vampire Tara. But at least Tara isn't trying to turn herself into goo via a tanning bed.

But the progeny love didn't end there as Bill and Jessica also had their moment. The weight of the true death is definitely bearing down on Bill and Eric as they are trying to take of everyone they care about. So Bill walks in on the perfectly set up, long awaited make-out scene between Alcide and Sookie. It will be interesting to see how far they take the relationship this season. It looks like we might get a bit more if the previews are to be trusted.

But how quickly Bill's heart turns cold as he decides to use Sookie's powers to bring about Russell's end. Regardless of the danger it could put her in. Has he finally let her go? Eric seemed a little surprised by Bill's calculated plan for Sookie, but he didn't argue.

Thankfully, we were spared the ridiculousness of Steve Newland, but unfortunately that hole was replaced by the fairies. We keep hoping that the fairy story lines will be really interesting, but instead they always seems a little hokey. We just can't seem to get into it. What are they up to? We don't believe that they Vampires killed Sookie and Jason's parents. It's more likely that the fairies killed their parents so they could get Sookie. The fairies seem to be trying to collect all humans with fairy blood.

Speaking of odd magic occurrences, it looks like things with Lafayette are starting to get out of control. The weird demon creature possessed Sookie's car! Interesting choice. We're sure something more direct could have been done, but a possessed car is way more fun. There's not enough of that on TV if you ask us.

As for Terry's plot-line, it seems we may have another demon in our midst. Chances are that the member of their unit they're looking for isn't as crazy as he appears.

True Blood Episode 503: Whatever I Am, You Made Me

And so the Authority plot thickens... It seems like Nora confessed to being part of the sanguinista movement in order to save Eric's life. It's unlikely that she really is a member. And who's side is Salome really on?

It was refreshing to see that Jessica really does care about Jason as a friend and it was pretty awesome to see her put his needs before her own. WTF with gothic Hoyt!??

Surprising to see how Pam got turned by Eric. We thought that was very bold of her to turn the tables on him and put her life in his hands for all eternity knowing how much importance Eric put on being a maker. He made the right choice, what an awesome vampire she has made. I wonder how long it's been since she and Eric had an intimate relationship. Throughout the show, we've been given the impression that they are close, but not like that. And let's not forget about Eric and Bill's first meeting also being tied to Pam. Explains some of the hostility that's always been between Bill and Eric.

How lame that Tara is trying to fry herself by using a bed in a tanning salon? If she really wanted to kill herself then she could have used a stake and have done with it. But I guess she had to do something to get Pam's attention.

Confessing to Alcide was a big step for Sookie, but he's not going to forgive her easily if at all. Alcide still loves Debbie.

What's up with Lafayette channeling evil demon magic man? That thing creeps us out every time.
Guess that plot line isn't going away any time soon, how long do you you think until we get a visit from Jesus?

Overall, this story seemed like interesting setup for the season.

Is that fairy I smell???

Episode 502: Authority Always Wins

This episode was pretty interesting. There wasn't that much happening in terms of plot, but you got some more insight into Eric and Pam and the Authority.

The flashbacks showing how Eric and Pam met were really neat. The old San Francisco setting and costumes were very cool and Eric looked very handsome in his tux. It was also very cool to see Pam pre-vamp and helps to see why she's so loyal to Eric.

The Authority headquarters was an interesting mix of modern, hi-tech, and ancient architecture. The whole religious aspect was a neat twist. To discover and older bible that the humans don't know about and making a point of how old vampires really are. The Authority is putting a lot of importance on mainstreaming and spinning it to sound like the only way for vampires to survive long-term. But is that their true end goal? Maybe they are just trying to win the humans' trust in order to take control more easily.

Lafayette came to the right conclusion if only he had enough courage to follow through. Tara would never have chosen to be a vampire and isn't all there. Tara will be very upset with herself if she heals and really finds out about all of the people she's killed. So far Sookie is failing epically separating herself from the vampire world.

Russell still looks pretty icky, so Bill and Eric have a little bit of time to find him before he's completely back on his feet.

Emma made a very cute wolf cub.

Episode 501: Turn! Turn! Turn!

That was quite a start to season 5! I think we're all in for quite a ride over the next 11episodes and we're finally going to get a good look at The Authority. I'm very interested in seeing what The Authority truly wants. They don't seem interested in killing Eric and Bill immediately anyway. What do they want with them?

I didn't expect Pam to be the one to help Tara, since Bill and Eric were so close by. But it was hilarious to see her dressed in a Wal Mart sweat suit. Ultimately, I had a really bad feeling about turning Tara...it couldn't possible go well. Who could really blame Sookie and Lafayette for trying though.

I was really grossed out by the wolf pack eating Marcus and Sookie picking up pieces of Debbie's head, but Sookie seemed to handle it all a little too well. I'm thinking she's going to freak out at some point.

A few mysteries are being presented so far, who set fire to Terry's house? What happened to Jesus's body? And who dug up Russell? I have no idea about the first, but I'm willing to bet The Authority has something to do with Russell and that Jesus has become that witchdoctor creature.

Seriously....Steve Newland came back to confess his love for Jason?! Kind of lame, but maybe there's hope for him becoming good comic relief in the future. Can't wait for next week!

Season 5 Around the Corner

We have less than one week to go! Has everyone watch the Waiting Sucks mini episodes? Check out the trailer for Season 5!
