True Blood Episode 108: Fourth Man in the Fire
I'm sure it came as no surprise to most of us that Bill was not in one of the four coffins discovered in the last episode. He definitely had a dramatic reappearance though. It was very reminiscent of the Night of the Living Dead. Bill could have called out to Sookie rather than grabbing her, but that wouldn't have had nearly the same impact and what followed brought a whole new meaning to dirty sex, no I really mean dirty!
Later in the episode, it was fun to see Bill and Sookie together as a rather normal couple. It doesn't get more normal than babysitting kids, eating pizza, ice cream and let’s not forget the candy corn fangs! Who knew Bill had such a way with children?! BTW where exactly did those huge candy corns come from?
Which brings me to Rene and Arlene, could he have picked a creepier way to propose? I thought for sure something terrible was going to happen. For a moment, I even thought Rene might have been the killer! In case there are any guys reading this, a fake tire problem in the middle of the night on a creepy dark rode is not a romantic setting for a proposal.
On another note, I'm surprised at how thorough Andy Bellefleur is. I never thought he would check out Sam's story about his parents being naturists. Sam should have gone with a much simpler lie. It goes to show that Andy shouldn't be under estimated, which seems to be the trend among the residents of Bon Temps. I think we're all going to be surprised by him before the season is over.
At the end of this episode a lot was left hanging. We have Tara going off to see the exorcist and after seeing the change in her mother, I'm not surprised about Tara's decision. We have Jason and Amy kidnapping a vampire! I knew Amy was going to be bad news, but I didn't realize she was going to be that bad. Last but not least, we left Sookie being attacked by the bartender at Fangtasia. I'm undecided whether it will be Eric or Bill that saves her. Maybe it will be both of them. I have not doubt that Sookie will be getting more involved with Eric and the vampire world, which means at some point either Sookie will become a vampire or she will end up dead. I'm going to root for the former.

What does it take to become a vampire on True Blood?
Bill explains to Sookie that in order to be transformed from a human to a vampire the human must be close to death before drinking vampire blood.
Didn't we see Sookie close to death in the second episode before Bill saves her and demands she drink his blood? Why isn't Sookie a vampire yet?
What does it REALLY take to become a vampire on True Blood?

True Blood Episode 107: Burning House of Love
One of my questions from last week had to do with Uncle Bartlett and we did find out what happened there. Although he wasn't a good person, I do believe that Bill crossed a line by killing him. Sookie would not have wanted that.
I was hoping that we'd see a little more interaction with Bill and Sookie this episode, but the writers seem like they don't want to give us too much at once.
We now know though, that Sookie's faith in Bill won't be easily shaken. She did not believe Bill was really going to live with those other three vampires. I was afraid that she was going to get a sudden case of stupidity, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm really hoping that those three vampires were killed in the fire, but it just seems too easy. The writers also set the scene up nicely by adding the fourth coffin, but we all know that Bill couldn't have possibly been killed.
One of the guys in the bar (also one of the three guys who set the house on fire) mentioned that it was a full moon that night, so it wasn't all that surprising to see Sam running naked through a field. It was very werewolf like, which means that this is one more incident to support the werewolf theory!
As for Jason, he is in so much trouble. That girl is not going to be good for him at all. Things with Jason have got to get a lot worse before they get better.
Oh and does Tara have a demon? That woman seemed to know an awful lot about Tara's troubles.

True Blood Episode 106: Cold Ground
Sookie had to handle a lot in this episode. It wasn't enough that she had to deal with the loss of Gran, but she also had to deal with her idiot brother and the townsfolk. I cannot believe that Jason hit Sookie. Although he deserved her cold shoulder at the funeral, I believe that Sookie will forgive him in time. Until then, I imagine that Jason will continue on his downward spiral.
One question I have is: is Sam going to be with Tara now? It kind of seemed like he was giving up on Sookie, but maybe not. I think Sam might develop an "unwanted" complex though, since Tara rushed off. I can't help but feel bad for him.
Here are a couple of other questions that I have regarding this episode:
1) What did Uncle Bartlet do?
3) Was Sookie really the intended victim?
I have to talk about this...Sookie running to Bill and Bill quickly opening the door knowing that she was coming was classicly romantic not to mention the candles and the fire in the fire place creating pretty much a perfect romantic setting for what followed. Now I suppose I've put my next comment off long enough. Sookie asked Bill to bite her and, of course, he did! I'm a bit surprised at Sookie, but then again by the end of the episode she did a complete 180 on how she felt about her and Bill's relationship from the previous episode. I was shocked at how bloody it was, but a fellow watcher of the show asked me to put it in the context of a passionate moment. The point being, that the bite was not meant to be neat and controlled. The viewer was meant to see Bill's uncontrolled passion and desire. That does make sense, but for me, there is still an "icky" factor.

Episode 105: Sparks Fly Out
This was quite a mixed episode. The greatest laugh of the evening was of course Jason getting it on with the girl behind the dumpster. Tara dumping garbage on them was hardly an interruption – what a couple of FREAKS! I can’t believe Jason did V again! That boy will never learn…
Bill’s past is very sad, seeing how he was turned to a vampire was horrible especially when he was so close to home. It made me feel especially sorry for him that Sookie went to the church with Sam.
Sookie going out with Sam was a disappointment and a pretty big shock, an even bigger shock when he kissed her, I didn’t think he had it in him! Once again, our suspicions that Sam has some dog like qualities is confirmed when Sookie mentioned that while reading his thoughts she usually gets sounds and emotions, not sentences or images like with other people.
One of our favorite characters has been killed off already - GRAN! Gran was really the only person who was OK and encouraging of the relationship between Bill and Sookie. I’m really sad about Gran. I loved her character and I did not expect that she would end up dead. I don’t think, though, that the person who killed Gran is the same person that killed Maudette and Dawn. The M.O. is completely different.
Our suspicion about the murderer being human is also strongly backed by Bill’s discussion with the police. SO… Who is responsible for all the killings? Any theories??
Of course we are all rooting for Bill and Sookie to take their relationship to the next level, maybe next week!!
Fresca anyone?
