Episode 206: Hard-Hearted Hannah

We’ve hit that pivotal place in the season where we’ve got a lot of questions answered, but everyone’s in trouble and we have no idea how they’ll get out of it.

First we found out that Eric wants Bill out of the way, so he can get Sookie and Bill’s maker, Lorena is part of his plan. We also found out that Bill’s past is even more violent then we imagined. I for one did not think he was a psychopathic killer who likes to play with his food. It was really disturbing. But maybe his maker just brings that out in him.

Not only does the Fellowship of the Sun have Godric, but they also have an inside man. It’s looking like Stan (black cowboy hat wearing vampire) is the traitor, but I’m still suspicious of Isabel. Steve Newlin is becoming a zealot to the point where it’s frightening Sara and of course had to drag Jason in even deeper.

The mystery deepens with Eggs. Was he part of some ritual sacrifice? Did Maryann make him forget? As he finds out the truth, will his allegiance to Maryann falter? We now know that Daphne is the pig and has been working for Maryann. What is their game with Sam? The creature has come back into the story as Maryann donned the mask of a bull. Is this creature part of the ritual? Kind of tired of the orgy scenes. Hopefully, the show will get to the point.

The least complicated part of all of this is Jessica’s and Hoyt’s relationship. It’s refreshing to see two people just being together without being manipulated by the ulterior motives of others.

On a lighter note, Eric needs better taste in choosing his “freshies”. She was pathetic in her attempt in acting scared. I would never call Eric “baby”.

Well I couldn't stand "Stan" on Eureka so I'm hoping he's the traitor and gets killed off...... :)

this plot line with Marianne is a bit over the top for me - quite frankly, i find her whole story line boring - even considered not watching last night - move on! jason's story line is great and glad to see they brought Lafayette back - he is one of the best things on the show. His acting is above and beyond.

Love Lafayette as well. Hope his 'spirit' isn't crumbled for long (because we loved his feistiness). I think Isabelle is the traitor, and she sent her boyfriend to get rid of him (as she is tiring of him already). Hope we see a lot more of Eric. Hope we wrap the Marianne plot-line soon, as well, because its getting tiring.

Yea, Lafayette was great, good thing Terry was there. I think he's the only one that would really understand and be able to help him. And it was nice to see Pam being her normal uncaring self, ha, love it!

Me too I'm bit tired of Maryann why she wants to be with Tara thats much...they have to get to the point as soon as thy can...Love Sookie and Eric together, it would beinteresting to see Eric with a love interest...
Lafayette is great, I miss all his quicky responses and spontaneous moves.

OH PLEASE!!!! let the maryann story line go! i wish they would stick closer to the books! its driving me crazy!!! oh, and leave sam alone... hes so great i hope nothing happens to him! the writers of the story are going so far beyond the books i almost dont even like watching it any more... i just dont get it... i REALLY love the jessica and hoyt story line tho! they could keep that going! shes such a great actress!

I like that it doesn't stay too close to the books, because then it would be boring to all of us who read them. I love the new storylines, but I agree, the Maryann deal needs to be over soon. Hopefully it ends soon, though who knows since this part has gotten so far off the books. I guess I like that. Doesn't give me the 'I want to tell people what's really going on' because I know, and I don't feel so bad about spoilers (when they're invited) because the show is so far off from the books.

If they don't resolve the Mary Ann story soon she will single handedly cause this show to jump the shark.

I think the Maryanne story line is getting old too its quite repetitive. I think its ok they aren't going directly by the book for season 2 its not so bad but I mean once they get to like the later seasons I wish they would stick to it a little more not completely though.

Anyone else happy to see jessica in the bra and undies? Too bad they portray her as 17.. that means no orgy scene type deals. and the Maryanne thing.. well She did go after sookie maybe the whole deal with Eric will tie back to getting rid of her. I hope we get to see Godric in the next episode, in 2000 years he's got to be quite a character. And lafeyette.. well Terry is the only one who has seen those type of things. And if you kill the maker does the people they turned die as well? I hope that answer is solved in the upcoming episodes

If Eric wants to get Bill out of the way to get Sookie, maybe they'll throw in a crazy plot twist and make Eric as the inside man to the Felloship of the Sun. It's plausible, he could have been playing Sookie and Bill the whole time to get Godric back. He'd be more loyal to his maker than to a girl he wants. Otherwise, the Daphne thing was sort of obvious if you read into her character right. Sam used to be my favorite character, but his acting in the last two episodes is changing my mind.

has anyone seen the extra-long commercial for the rest of the season? i'm disappointed- they just showed the preview scenes (i'm assuming from each remaining episode) as a whole reel, and revealed most of the mysteries from the next few episodes.

Hard Handed Hannah... from Savanah wasn't that the music that Bill playes in the Chicago scene in the 1920's as well as he music for the closing credits.
Well if you ask me I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Tara's been letting Maryann know what Suckie is up to and that it's Maryann tipping of the fellowship of the sun.
I also wouldn't be a bit surprised if the fellowship of the sun is worshipping Appollo but that's a whole other can of worms.
If I'm right about Maryann being the tip off to the cult then we'll be seeing more of the bizzar Maryann than most of us want.

Yeah -- I thought the first season was the best thing ever on TV, but then they stuck pretty close to the novels, which are well-written and can sustain characters and extended plot lines. This year they seem to be just making crap up as they go along, maybe waiting till the night before filming starts to throw ideas around? The Maryann thing is old, old, old, and stupid, stupid, stupid. A shame when a series tanks so rapidly from bad writing, when it's BASED on good writing with enough plot twists to keep it running for years!

Wow every one hates the Maryann story. I'm looking forward to a showdown with her and some vampires!

Maryann is in it for the long haul guys so she'll be on until the end of the season. The vampires' powers do not work on her which leads them to seek the vampire queen (Sophie, reportedly played by Evan Rachel Wood) - which leads to season 3's story arc.

Maryann blah blah blah. Too much going on, they jumped the shark in epi 6 for sure. Save a little for later. i don't think I mind that the series doesn't follow the book, Personally, I don't care for the Sookie+Bill+Eric 3some. Loyalty and love gets me going!
