mark my words, jason stackhouse is going to die. he was supposed to "use his head" all season and he finally chose to try to help and be smart but with that is a big price. also if you look at the season 2 promo there's a song called "beyond here lies nothing" .. well in the promo maryann has a vile of blood and it falls to the ground and shatters and at the same time jason falls to his knees and starts bleeding. obviously this is foreshadowing that jason is going to be the blood sacrifice that maryann wants or is going to get. also in the preview to the finale you see sookie kneeling on the ground saying "i'm so sorry" ... this is because she's crying over her dead brother. then in season 3 it's going to be this dramatic story about how sookie is now all alone and she's the only one in her family alive. anyways, should be a fun episode.

god, i hope not. thats really depressing.

I don't think so. AB wouldn't change so much the history from the book. He's not crazy..at least i hope not.

How can Jason be the sacrifice? The queen said that it had to be a person that "walked between the two worlds" or something like that.
Jason isn't supernatural.

It clearly is not jason who will be MaryAnn's sacrifice. Now that MaryAnn has learned of Sookie's supernatural existence, she will be after her. MaryAnn hasn't ever heard or seen a supernatural being like Sookie, so just maybe Sookie is that secret ingredient MaryAnn needs to please the god. I think Sam will be sacrificed after Bill offers him up to MaryAnn. A few episodes back, Lafayette read some tarot cards for Tara. He told her that she would have to make a sacrifice of the heart, so maybe she will be sacrificed..or maybe she will be the one who cuts out someone's heart for MaryAnn. Lafayette never got a chance to tell Tara that her future card read 'justice'. I'm not quite sure what it means, but something big will happen and I'm sure she will have something to do with it.

okay I've read all the books that are out,
preeeeeeetty sure jason and sam are in all of them.

Yes, Jason and Sam are in all of them, but they do change a lot of things in the show. For example, Lafayette dies in the book, but they ended up not killing him in the show. Also, in the book, Jason never even gets involved with the Fellowship of the Sun. Even Jason's vampire blood-addicted girlfriend died in the show, but didn't in the book. By the way, whoever said Jason was going to die, no he will not. Why would Sookie say "Im so sorry" to her brother before he dies? Sookie would not let her brother die. She would go kick some manead ass if her brother was about to get sacrificed.

Sacrifice of the heart would be "eggs".

Bring on the Werewolves!

exactly what i think, eggs is going to be sacrificed. it explains the tarot cards!

yeah, jason is not goin to be sarcrificed, he didnt die in the books and he isnt a supe of some kind
...sure the series isnt following the books exactly(but in a good way) but i highly doubt jason is really going to get more into this side of the story. My guess is that he's going to end up with MaryAnn getting a hold of him and not much else.
And the whole tarot card thing...yeah, Tara did summon her so it's possible that she couldbe majorly involved in the season finale.

but....if you have read the books, there's definitely something different about the stackhouse siblings(not just Sookie, jason too!) so maybe the writers are going to bring up that for the next season.

and i completely agree...where are the weres??

The preview imo shows eggs stabbing himself. Jason is sorta supernatural since he has abilities like Sookie albeit not as honed. But they better not off Jason!!!

anyways, while we're waiting for the finale, here's a hilarious True Blood site with fan made photos :)

for all of you who are trying to figure out the ending of the second season, you have to watch season one chapter 10. If you are smart enough you will figure out who die in season two... clue-> TARA

okay for starters i think jason isnt going to be the sacrafice beacuse he is in the later books as well as sam so i beleive neither of them will be her sacrafice i dont think maryann sacrafice will go ahead and just for the fun of proving tracy wrong sookies great great grandad is a fairey so sookie and jason are like 1 8th fairey which means he can literally walk between worlds. this is why the vampires are so interested in sookie beacuse fairys keep themselves hidden in an alternate world and for her to be a telepath and a fairy makes them jizz aha and it is thought the fairy thing is the reason jason is so succesful with the ladies :) oh btw spoiler :P

Sookie and Jason faeries? While that doesn't surprise me for Jason (he does have qualities of the Gancanagh), that doesn't explain Sookie at all. I've never heard of faeries with the ability to read minds...ever. The power she had to protect herself from MaryAnn does have its faery qualities, but regardless.

As for who will be sacrificed, Sure as hell won't be Tara. She doesn't walk between the two worlds. I doubt it's Eggs either. -POSSIBLY- Sookie or Sam (Tara did have that love thing going on for him first season so could explain the "sacrifice of the heart" deal like others have said previously).

I love True Blood and all...but I am sooooooooo ready for MaryAnn to leave, die, whatever. I fell in love with True Blood when the story lines were strickly about vampires......but the whole "demon" thing is throwing me waaaaaay off. I'm not to sure what will happen at the end but I hope it will be the end of MaryAnn-and I hope Jason and Sam makes it.

Thus far each season of True Blood has had a central genre that drove much of plot forward. In Season 1 it was the classic small town mystery (complete with a great whodunit, when for a brief moment Sam appeared the most likely murder). This season the genre seems to be Greek Tragedy. What does this mean? It means some elements of the ending can possibly be predicted. In classic Greek Tragedies there are two forces. The Apollonian, that strives to bring about order (in True Blood this is represented by Sam), and the Dionysian (obviously Marie-Anne) that creates chaos. These forces clash and the Apollonian force always comes out the worse.

What does this mean? It means that Sam Merlotte will probably die. Jason will not die. His quest to save the town is destined to fail, but this very modern play on quixotic folly is meant to add some much needed humour to what will surely be a very dark and bloody episode).

Predictions:

1)Sam will die. [Sam is such a tragic figure. All he wants is family and to help those around him as best he can. He never gets what he wants or needs, and his attempts to attain love and affection are constantly thwarted. Notice the focus on Sam as a father figure in Episode 11. Also notice the strong emphasis on the Apollonian aspects of his character (his level-headedness) in Episode 11. At the end of the day, Sam’s character has run its course. He is a tragic character and now he is to face a truly tragic end].
2)Sam will very possibly turn into a lion. (In Euripides tragedy Bacchae)
3)Someone is very likely to end up headless, and or torn to shreds by Marie-Anne’s followers (Also a central part of Bacchae that may used)

There’s a lot of other stuff going on here too, but this much seems quite probable to me.

this is just my wild guess answer..
Bill, as you know can revive humans, and because of that he... sacrificed Sam to maryann, and when of course maryann dies, Bill will (I think) revive Sam, :D
that's just my guess to this episode!
