Wow, that was a great episode. I’m really loving Eric! His good ole boy routine was hilarious! I didn’t know Eric had that in him. And the way he is teasing Bill and Sookie, I just love the tension it’s creating for Bill and the curiosity that is brewing in Sookie. Jason really kicked ass!! The human saved the day! I guess Jason did “Grow a brain cell”. =)
Hunter Soufflé, anyone? That was so disgusting! Maryann has hit a new low even for her and it’s only going to get worst. Whatever Lafayette saw in the Tarot cards has him seriously worried about Tara. It looks like it’s going to take him to pull her out of this mess, every time she starts to get close to the truth, she gets sucked in deeper.
Barry tastes different apparently… is that just from his ability to read minds or something else? Bill has never mentioned Sookie tasting different.
I feel SO bad for Jessica! What a nightmare having to relive your first time, EVERY time! By now don’t they have some experience, or at least a simple hand book “Things to do before you’re turned” It would be an F-ing best seller. Anyway there’s the wrench in Jessica and Hoyt’s relationship.
It looks like Maryann has been setting up Sam since the beginning of the season. Everything seemed to fall right into place. Bud was right. Jail probably is the safest place for him because Maryann doesn’t want Sam in jail. She wants him dead. Wasn’t expecting Andy to show up and try to defend him with his “drunken crazy talk”. Yea, real believable.
Three cheers for Sookie! She never backs down from a fight, even when it’s good for her health. She successfully put Lorena in her place with a little help from Godric.
Godric was a bit different than I was expecting. We knew he went with the humans for some reason since they couldn’t have taken him by force. Apparently, he feels that the vampires have brought the human hatred on themselves, by not evolving passed their savagery and learning to coexist. After witnessing the vampire mentality for over 2,000 years he has become sickened by the games and unnecessary bloodshed. He was beyond kind when dealing with Hugo and Steve Newlin. He is really trying to set an example for his people for a more meaningful existence. Let’s see if he feels the same way after the Lukeinater blows up his nest.
Will Eric save Sookie from the blast?
Hey Bill, by the way, was that hug okay?

I loved this episode and Eric was great in it. I also loved when he acted human it was really funny. I hope they get to save each other Sookie and Eric if it be Sookie saving him or Eric saving her, and I wonder if Bill will run back in or what will happen with that. That scene with Tara and Egss was really freaking weird, I hope Lafayette can talk some sense into her. Again what a great episode.
"Jail probably is the safest place for him because Maryann doesn’t want Sam in jail. She wants him dead." - if Maryann wanted him dead, Sam would already be dead.
I hope Godric sticks around for a while... any information on how many episodes he is going to be in? This was a great episode. And yes, the Hunter Souffle was disgusting!!! Watching her prepare it was so gross.
Good call about the "Things to do before you're turned" book! So is anything significant going to happen with Jessica and Hoyt or is just fluff? Whenever their scene is up i'm anxious to get through it to see what's going on with everyone else.
Jason's description of "heaven" to Steve. Awesome.
Loved last nights show...and I must say I was so Happy when Jason told him that he had already been to Heaven...inside his wife!!!! Woohoo Go Jason!!!! I was really hoping he would go there and tell him and he did!
I just finished the 9th book....I can not wait till next year to read the next one!! I am really hoping that she ends up with Eric I am really loving me some Eric!
And poor Jessica...I just really feel bad for her!
And the part where Eggs and Tara were hitting each other...I am getting really upset that Marrianne is getting away with all of this...I am ready for her to be put in her place!!! Can' t wait for next week!
is anyone bummed its not following the book at all?
Did anyone notice that when they showed previews for next week it does not show any of the vampires in that room when the bomb went off. I hope that doesnt mean they all died.
Godric bores me. I hope they make him more interesting.
Anyone else notice that in the HBO 'On Demand' previews, Sookie is laying in bed with nothing covering her top and shoulders with a person lying behind her. The person behind her has blonde hair. And how is jail safe for Sam. Once she finds out where he is she'll cast a spell and go kill him. He needs to turn into a mouse, slip through the bars, turn into a lion and maul her to death.
Oh, I like that idea of the mouse and lion! Maryann is just getting away with to much. That would be fun to see. Wonder what Sookie is going to do if she comes home and finds Maryann in her house...?
Actually Bill does tell sookie she tastes different...season one episode 2 when she gets beat up bad by the ratrays and bill saves her....when he is licking her blood off her forehead...just fyi.
Interesting, I'll have to re-watch that episode... Thanks for the info :)
I hope not every vampire is dead because of that stupid blast.
I want to see MaryAnn die of all the guilt in the last episode of this season, just like rene last season.
Does anybody know if they are picked up for Season three?? HBO better do tht.
I love how many risks they are taking... when godric said "I am older then this Jesus and I did not know him" or something along those lines i figured that lost a few religious sensitive viewers. Great episode, but couldn't sam just turn into a mouse and get out? I was kind of hoping for some bloodshed instead of cutting a heart into food. that was very disturbing, especially how it looked like it was bleeding when tara cut into it. Is that the vampire queen in the preview of the next episode? I heard talk of her but I haven't read the books so I am a bit oblivious and just sucked into the TV series storyline
@alex: i totally loved that line about jesus!! its like, jesus who??. anyway i just started watching the show and i can NOT get enough. the writing it phenomenal. the scenes with maryanne make cringe but i cant look away. i dont like sookies character so much because i feel like she is in over her head a lot and she talks so much. but that is the beauty of great writing, it allows you to react to the characters as though they were real! im so excited i finally decided to jump on the true blood band wagon, cant wait til sunday!
Alex... Godric said "I am older than your Jesus I wish you could of met him he was a great man."
But Yea great episode. Any of you every have dreams about being turned? Because I do. The only sad thing about it is that I have babies and the thought of not being with them is sad. But yea When I was turned in my dream I woke up in a house that I wasn't familar with and it was daylight and my skin started to smoke. It was so cool!!!
I think that bomb blast killed Eric and Godric. If they are dead then Bill's maker will be the new Sheriff of that district. I have to agree with Alex, if Sam is in jail why can't he shape shift into a mouse or bird and fly out, but I guess he wants to protect his idenity of who he is.
Yeah thanks for correcting me. Along with my previous comment everyone has failed to mention that Jason was right next to Luke when he pressed the button. Is that the end of jason as a character? I am excited to see how lafeyette handles terra in the next episode :D
"Actually I am older than your Jesus. I wish you could of met him but i missed him" is what /godric says. Also why no comment on godric being a pedefile and that was one of his primary reasons for meeting the sun. he was tired of hurting children. i am ready for jason to kick maryann's ass when they get home.
i want bill and sookie to be together. and i want a boyfriend just like hoyt!
Thanks Dareesa! I just OnDemanded the 8th and 9th episodes to see em again. I will miss godric
