Episode 211: Frenzy

Okay, so this week’s episode wasn’t so great either. I was really hoping that we would start getting into the thick of things and see some serious stuff go down, but it seemed like more filler until the finale. Maybe the writers are really just trying to set up season 3. Only a few things of interest really happened. We got to meet the queen, who was cool and we found out a way to defeat Maryann.

It looks like Lafayette is having dreams about Eric too, which is something we’ve been wondering about.

Saving Tara was pointless. I’m really glad they went through all the trouble last week just so she could throw herself right back into harms way.

Sookie’s home felt like it was turned into a haunted house. Will she ever be able to get the creepiness out of the house once this is all over?

Will Bill’s threat keep Eric in check? I have my doubts, but why is Eric having humans sell V anyway? What’s he getting out of it? Can it really just be profit?

The writers better bring it during the finale or we’re going to be VERY disappointed.

I was sad to see Hoyt break up with Jessica, but I think they'll get back together once he cools down. Hoyt's mom seemed to have some interesting data too. It looks like Maryann isn't really going to get what she's hoping for. But why does Hoyt's mom seem to be more aware than the rest?

I was disapointed too but I think they want to save the real drama for the finale! I sooo wanted some closure with the whole maryanne thing! C'mon already!!! can she die??? will she die??? urggg! Tara is a freaken idiot! i'm reading dead until dark and tara has such a small role...so i'm really anxious to see what the writers of the show have in store for her!!!

what do you mean by tara has a small role? does she die in the books cause i heard the gay guy(not bashing but I can't spell his name for the life of me, so sorry!) dies in the books in like the first or second, so if she does tell me cause I'm sure they wont kill her off in the show, at least that quick anyway.

Tonights episode was only half way good for me. I think we will see Jessica contemplate suicide.

Based on the season finale teaser/description, Andy may be killed off.

"...Jason leads Andy into the heroic abyss;"

Say it ain't so!

Ok I reallythought also that this episode would be alot better. It seemed like filler also. what is with the egg?? also you are right i think they are trying to set up for season 3 I hope this Maryann thing is over real soon.... enough already!!!!

ive been disappointed in this episode also. however the conversation bill and eric had made me think that maybe bill has role is accurate to the books

I think the queen sent bill to the town for sookie because she knew about her without bill saying anything and when bill talk to sookie cuzin he wasn't surprise and in the first season bill just happen to go to the bar were she was

Yup, another pretty disappointing episode. There wasn't too many high points and most of it was dreadfully boring but there was one gem for me - Pam!! Talking about kids...loved it.

I loved Eric in this episode. Good to see him again although I wish there was more of him.
I loved the scene with him and Arlene's kids haha.. "miniture humans" :) "teacup". and god when he winked I almost died.
That man looks like pure sex in that grey suit. Sorry but just had to say it.

We have been faithful viewers since it started. Now i can't wait for it to be over. if the last episode isn't any better than the previous show, i won't be watching next year. Ever since they introduced Maryann - i have all but lost interest. Like with a lot of television shows, you get bored and change the channel - i am almost to that point. Enough of Maryann already - this whole story line played out rather quickly. Same stuff every week. I expected more from the writers - or have they given us all they have and just writing filler. There is so much more than can do with these characters.

more eric.

I read somewhere that Maryann won't be killed but "vanquished" and basically just leaving their town for the time being. Whatever works!!! :)

Oh boy. Terrible episode. It was good to see Eric acting like he was the first time we met him in Fangtasia though. Um the egg? I can't figure that out. It was just weird. And why didn't Sookie use her new power on the crazy people in her house? Instead of just lying down.. I hope the finale is better.

I'm thinking the egg has something to do with Tara's boyfriends "Eggs"...but not sure still trying to figure that one out. I also think Maryanne is going to try and use Sookie as her sacrafice now that sh has her in the house. The queen said she just needs something super natural right? I don't know, but I can't wait for the finale, it better be better then last nights episode. And is it just me, but this episode what again cut 10 minutes short????

Just wanted to say I thought Evan Rachel Wood as The Queen was absolutely ridiculous! How come the elder male vampire (Godrick) is selfless and has obviously learned something during his thousands of years on earth and the eldest female (the Queen) is a stupid self absorbed sex crazed idiot.... nice. AND Wood's acting was HORRIBLE!

Seeing Eric in a dress was pretty darn funny......

in the books she just leaves so maybe they will just end up doing that.. as for bill he was sent there to seek out sookie so i hope they keep that whole story line and eric is so hot he needs more camera time

Maynads, Vamps, Changlings and Telepaths let's get it going folks.
And what's up with the egg...? Did Sam lay it as Jason suggested!
Hummmmmm....

Bring back Godric

I have to say that after I saw the episode I felt that it was more of a filler than anything else. The queen is ever so wonderful. I love her so much!
But what's really bugging me is that egg... what is it?

I was disappointed this week...they spent way to long discussing things...I really wanted MORE action. I was telling my husband that I did not see how they are going to keep Sookie's house on the show...If they ever do get it back to normal it just seems like it would not be the same! I was hoping for a really great episode that would keep me excited for 2 weeks...yeah that did not happen!

~Talisa~ said...

also...in the previews for the finale...it shows Bill giving Sam to Marryanne...now that makes me upset...I am hoping they get together and think of a plan together and hope it is not really Bill dragging him to throw him to Marryanne...Hey maybe that would be the kicker that makes Sookie so mad that she turns to Eric???? What do yall think???

Jennifer said...

HMMMM I never thought of that, maybe that would be it for Sookie and Bill you never know, the egg thing really has me confused.. I hope season 3 is better.....

Kiki said...

Not sure on the egg. I kind of let that go...guess on top of everything else Maryann has a little creature to hatch? Maybe that’s why she was pushing Tara and Eggs together?

BTW, what the heck was that red sequin outfit Pam was wearing? The 80’s called big time!

Eric's intention for selling V might be to seduce Jason again to have another refund against Sookie.

Bill has to bring Sam to Maryann since Bill knows she is looking for Sam. Naturally, he has a plan. It seems that perhaps Sookie's cousin, was it, is the person responsible for informing them of who Sookie is to begin with. If Bill & Sookie end up on the outs at the end I'm going to feel like I'm watching the Grey's Anatomy Vampire Style show. One can only hope not.

I think that Sookie will be held by MaryAnn and that she will tell Bill that he has to bring Sam or she will kill Sookie....

First of all let me say that...other than Eric's flying...I was extremely disappointed in this episode...I heart True Blood and I love the Sookie Stackhouse Series....Charlene Harris is a GENIUS!! But I'm worried that since they are spending so much time on the Maryann ordeal that they are going to mess up the 3rd Season....The first season was excellent....it was very very close to the first book...which surprised me! But most of the second book ((Living Dead in Dallas)) was set in Dallas....and what they only spent like 4 episodes actually in Dallas....that was a little upsetting....I am very sad that this will be the last episode ((until season 3 of course)) but I am relieved and a little worried too....relieved that Maryann will ((probably)) finally be gone and worried that since AB took such a drastic turn from the books where he is going to go next???

Best part of this ep was definitely Eric calling the kids Teacup humans. Loved it. I serioulsy hope the writers read these comments b/c everyone is saying pretty much what I'm thinking. Goodbye Maryanne, hello Eric.

I agree with many of the other postings in that this episode was a complete waste of time. One could easily watch the next episode having missed this and be brought up to speed within the first 5 minutes. Very little was done to advance any of the storylines; this was simply filler to get to the season finale. If Maryann is still alive at the end of the finale I certainly will not be tuning in next season--

I don't understand why so much time is spent on Mary Anne...I wish they would move on like they do in the books! It's messing with my head and I wish they were full hour episodes! I hope Bill and Sookie aren't a couple any more. I wouldn't mind a little Eric and Sookie action!

What IS up with the egg? It was in an actual nest and Eggs was dropping white feathers around it... what is up with that? I hope this is explained in the finale.

i really think that they should have eric and sookie together at least have them have sex one night or have him hook up with someone.... it would be a shocker if he were to hook up with tara but that may be a little far fetched. I dont care about maryann, let see more eric

I'm really ticked off that Eric is "The Bad Guy". If you saw all the past episodes and put 2 and 2 together you would realize that Eric is infact "Eric the Red", a Viking. Vikings were brutal, but does he always have to be the bad guy? I mean, "HES ERIC THE RED" for crying out loud! Sorry, I've got a soft spot for him.

I don't think the episode was too bad. YES! More could have been done. YES! Tara must have lost brain cells due to an alcoholic mother. YES! Eric is literally killing his role especially with that air show and all. NO more heart to hearts. NO more crying from Lettie Mae. No more! "Sookie Stupid Scenes". Just bring on the gore, the werewolves, and more beautiful vampire woman. Ouch! My girlfriend wants me to type...and more eric.
