Mmm.. Wow..the first new episode of True Blood didn't let us down...
Glad to see it wasn't Lafayette in the car, but that was quite a scene with Miss Jeanette missing her heart and all.
This episode opened up a lot of questions for the season. Like what the heck is Maryann up to with Tara and Eggs? And how does Sam tie into her plan? I have to admit it was pretty great when Maryann told off Tara’s mom!
What hasn’t changed is Jason is as stupid as ever...
The dungeon was totally creep-tackular, Lafayette may be alive but is in some deep sh**! But I think it really came down to the two scenes at the end, they were shocking, intense, and gory! Instead of naked Jason like normal we got naked Sookie with a bit more blood then I was expecting...followed by Eric coming downstairs to the dungeon with the foils and salon cape (I guess even the undead need a little help to look their best)...and then right into massive gooey bloody dismemberment...what a way to end the first episode! I was breathless and frozen on the couch.
If this is an example of what the new season has to offer I don't think we will be disappointed.

Well I was shocked. I know they stay perfectly with the books but I was so sure of who was in the car. Wrong! Clearly reading the books will not be as much of a predicter as i thought, which could have me possiblely disappointing because there are some things i like about the books....like for this season...the book has Eric wearing a pink tank top to a "sex" party with sookie and then...... So if this is out, i will be sad. I just want to see it so bad.
Yea, I've heard that the show doesn't necessarily follow the books...That scene sounds fun though, I hope they fit it in somehow!
I agree with you Lee - I really want to see Erick in the spandex outfit!! If they leave that out I'll cry!
Season 2 has definitley lived up to it's expectations thus far. I think the relationship between Eric and Bill is begining to become much more complex, and I like that they threw Jessica in the mix that is going to create alot more turmoil througout the season I think. I'm a little wooried though, because I watched a spoiler on youtube today and it said Sam steps aside for a while in order to stay away from Mary Ann, What the hell? he can't he IS Merlott's! and Layfayete? I'm on the edge of my seat with that situation wondering if he'll live up to Eric and Pam's expectations at Fangtasia! OMG! this season is going to be good!
Yea, I'm really happy with the season, I already feel completely sucked in.
I can't wait to see more of Eric, he is my new favorite character. The tug-a-war between him and Bill for Sookie will be great to watch!
I really hope Sam doesn't step aside, I'd much rather see him fight it out with Maryann, someone has to stand up to her!
